Hello! Bonjour!
My name is Camille Makiewicz, I am 20 years old and I am French. I am here for one semester as an exchange student to finish my bachelor in languages. I am really interested in languages, learning
about different cultures but also discovering the world. So, I learn languages and I travel a lot!
I can speak German, English, a little bit of Italian and of course French and I had the luck to discover a few countries in Europe like Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Sardinia, Spain, Canary Islands,
Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria but also in North America (Miami, New York and Montréal the French part of Canada). I am dynamic so I practice a lot a sport: fitness, horse riding, swimming, running, hiking...
I like spending time with my family, my friends, doing a lot of activities and discover new things.
... But I think I've talked enough about myself ???? If you are like me and love speaking languages and discovering new things, I think that you will enjoy the Language Café!
Here you can learn some basis of French, discover the culture, listen French songs but also translate it if you want to learn a little bit more of it, compare French habits to others countries of your choice
and discuss about the main stereotypes of this language and culture. If you are already learning French, you can join us for discussions in French and learn some more expressions and idioms. If you want to speak about a specific topic or learn some particular things of your choice don’t hesitate to suggest us, we are open with Jeanne to suggestions!
Don’t hesitate to come if you are interested! Merci et à bientôt !! ????

Hello,
my name is Jeanne Gateau and I am 21 years old. I was born on March 4th, 2003. I live in Wavrin in France with my father, Hervé and my mother, Audrey. I don't have any siblings. I study languages and I am in my 3rd year of my Bachelor in the University of Artois in Arras. I am fond of music. I‘ve played horn for 13 years now and I play in an orchestra in Wavrin called "Avenir Musical de Wavrin". With my orchestra, we do a lot of events and 2 weeks ago we did a concert on the topic of the Olympics Games. I also play piano and I learn it by myself. I love spending time with my family and friends because they are really important to me. I am here in Osnabrück with Camille Makiewicz, one of my good friends that I met in my University in France.
I would like to present famous French expressions we use everyday, because some of them are really funny. I would also like to talk about French food.

Ahoj! :)
My name is Ludmila, I am 23 years old and I come from the Czech Republic. I study German language and Social Studies at the Faculty of Education in Olomouc (I ́m now in my Master ́s programm). I ́m
here in Osnabrück as an Erasmus student, I will be here for 4 months. I like spending time with my friends and family, I like to sing, I like to travel a lot and meet new people and get to know their cultures. I like learning foreign languages - I can speak English, German, a little bit of Spanish and Czech of course :).

Merhaba!
My name is Serkay. I am 22 years old and a senior psychology student. I came to Osnabrück as an exchange student for 1 year. I am a practitioner of specific personality tests and am certified to
provide clinical therapy. I am in love with my subject and am excited to work globally in this field in the future. Of course, we need various languages for this. I need to get to know various cultures, especially regarding the subject I study. I had the chance to be in 6 different countries. But of course this is not enough for me and I want to travel more. I love playing badminton and doing fitness. I love
spending time with my friends and traveling to different places together.
I enrolled in this course to communicate with people from various countries and cultures, to teach each other countless things, and to teach and explain the features of my own language to others. If
you would like to learn the unique grammatical structure and cultural background of Turkish and order Turkish döner, you are welcome to my course.

Hello, I am Maya Sprague and I'm originally from Upstate New York. I have been studying wellness management with a minor in German from SUNY Oswego. I decided to study German due to my passion for learning cultures and I have family in Germany, thus making it a clear choice to study in Germany. Studying at Osnabrück not only allows me to improve my German but also gain a deeper understanding of German culture. Not only am I excited to learn about Germany, I am thrilled to share my own American culture and English language with those interested.

Moin,
I am Simone, and I am a "local international" here in Osna, because I came here two years ago as an Erasmus student and I decided to stay here and to enrol in the Fach-Master Germanistik. I'm really interested in languages and cultures, in fact, I can speak Italian, German, Spanish and English and I can also play saxophone.
I cannot wait to help you a bit with Italian and to answer to your curiosities about my country and culture.

My name is Sarah Thornton and I am from the USA. My home university is the University of Limerick in Ireland and I am studying German and Linguistics here in Osnabrueck for one semester. I spent the beginning of the year in Franken practicing as an English Teacher. It's so exciting to be a part of the Language Cafe and to meet people eager to practice their language skill!
